We completed the “Northwest Coastal A” mission today. The weather south of Thule was good, and the first two flight liens along the coast provided some great scenery (photos below are all from the first two lines). Once further upslope on the ice cap, we had the usual view of the flat white expanse of ice. The weather north was Thule for two short science lines was cloudy, impacting the optical instruments (although the ATM T5 narrow scanner did acquire the surface thru some of the clouds below). Otherwise all instruments had good data collection today. We overflew the Thule ramp calibration site at 2000′ just before landing.
Hoping the weather will support a mission tomorrow.
