Today we successfully flew the “West Central” sea ice mission. Weather was not on our side, but with the limited time we have up here, the decision was made to give it a go and we did end up collecting some important data over the course of the day despite the clouds.
I’ve attached a couple of pictures I took today during our transit over Ellesmere Island. While this was not the focus of our flight today, there wasn’t much to photograph over the data lines due to the persistent clouds. Maybe next time!
In any case, we are planning to attempt another flight tomorrow assuming that the weather cooperates.
